HIGHLIGHTS OF GLKC

In an effort to make the GLKC a circuit geared to fairness and encouragement, point values are compiled and posted to the results page of this website after each tournament. 

Participation Points:

We believe by awarding participation points it will encourage a competitor to continue to train to improve, while still recognizing that by participating in the tournament they are winners.

All underbelt competitors 12 and under will recieve a medal.

All sparring divisions with the age groups of 9 and above will have separate male and female divisions.

All Blackbelt divisions will have separate Open and Traditional Divisions.

Team Forms will be a rated Division. Underbelts and Blackbelts will be in separate divisions

After the last tournament of the year the final rankings will be posted.  The top 4 competitors in each division are recognized at the G.L.K.C. Awards Banquet. The top 4 competitors in each division will be awarded a beautiful plaque.  The champion of each division receives a Unique Champions Hoodie bearing the competition year and G.L.K.C. Champion logo. This sought after Hoodie are commemorative of each champion’s accomplishment that can be worn proudly and are a cherished keepsake for everyone who has earned the title of G.L.K.C. Champion. Also each division winner in the Black belt division will receive a Blackbelt embroidered with the competition year, G.L.K.C. and 1^st Place. We will have other special awards for individuals who compete in each tournament, Competitor of Year, Sportsmanship Award, Most Improved Competitor, Parent of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and Official of the Year.
