WELCOME, to the GREAT LAKES KARATE CIRCUIT

Our goal is to provide a vehicle for martial artist, enthusiast and supporters of the arts to come together in an atmosphere of camaraderie, integrity and good sportsmanship. Through our tournaments, circuit, promoters, black belts and supporters we will provide our competitors and spectators an opportunity to participate in events guaranteed to excite and embellish the spirit of martial arts. TOTAL TOURNAMENT QUALITY!

• Location:  Each tournament has been established to remain in this area to accommodate Great Lakes competitors.
• Time Management:  Beginning events on time with no long breaks in the competition. All rings will remain in operation to ensure the tournament ends on time.
• No bias judging:  All rings will have quality judges from all styles giving honest results in open competition. All judges will be versed in the rules established by the GLKC. This includes reputation judging.
• Roaming Rule Arbitrators:  Not having just the promoter knowing and enforcing the rules, but also three to five other sources of info and conflict resolution. We are committed to making any ruling as fair as possible to all competitors.
• Standard set rules:  All rules are followed at each event to ensure continuity and consistency. If any optional rules are used each promoter will give advanced written notice of rule changes.
• Great competition:  Our competitors are tried and true on the regional and national tournaments. We offer over 100 divisions (Team Forms, Katas, Weapons, Sparring,) from children to senior men and women, and grand champions for juniors AND adults.
